Pyscho-Social Support Project in Telfair, Moka: Introducing Batir Nou Rezilians
In 2024, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) partnered with ER Foundation (Formerly ENL Foundation and Rogers Foundation) to launch “Batir Nou Rezilians”, a pyscho-social support project. This program tackles a crucial but often overlooked aspect of well-being/mental health. “Batir Nou Rezilians” empowers 20 children and their families in Telfair, Moka, by fostering resilience, self-esteem, and overall mental well-being. Through dedicated one-to-one counseling sessions and psychological support sessions, we are building a stronger foundation for these children and their families.
Empowering Young Professionals: Employability Workshop
In June 2024, our Inclusiveness Committee supported by the Human Resource Department partnered with Caritas Saint-Pierre to conduct an Employability Workshop for 7 young adults aged between 17 and 30 years old. This initiative aimed to equip young participants with essential skills like CV and cover letter writing, as well as interview etiquette, to help them succeed in the professional world.
Celebrating 9th year of Vistara with SAFIRE NGO Children visiting Odysseo
To mark the 9th year anniversary of Vistara, proudly represented by ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) from 2023 till 2024, the airline partnered with ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) by organizing a network-wide CSR activity at Odysseo Oceanarium Mauritius for the children from the non-governmental organization SAFIRE (Service d’Accompagnement, de Formation, d’Intégration et de Réhabilitation de l’Enfant). Established in 2006, SAFIRE is an NGO, dedicated to improve the lives of street children in Mauritius.
The children had an enriching and enjoyable experience at the oceanarium, focusing on biodiversity conservation through fun and educational activities.
World Clean Up Day 2024: Plogging Activity
On World Clean Up Day celebrated each year on the 20th of September, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) dedicated a crew organized its 4th plogging activity in the region of Réduit and Moka. Following this activity,103 kg of waste was collected. This initiative combined fitness and environmental care as participants collected litter while jogging, emphasizing the importance of a clean and healthy environment.
Enhancing Biodiversity: A Tree Planting Initiative in Telfair, Moka
Committed to environmental protection and mitigating the impact of climate change, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) organized a tree-planting event in July 2024 at the mini forest in Telfair, Moka. The ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) crew planted over 60 endemic plants, including Bois Boeuf, Bois de Rat, Bois de Fer, Daniella and Razor supplied by ESP Landscapers. This initiative aimed to enhance biodiversity and contribute to reforestation efforts in the vicinity of our operations
The climate Fresk: raising climate change awareness, one card at a time!
In October 2024, in recognition of the International Day of Climate Action, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) hosted its second edition of the Climate Fresque workshop in collaboration with Bandish Augnoo, Sustainability Manager at ER Aviation (Formerly ENL & Rogers). This interactive and engaging workshop provided participants at ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) with a deep understanding of the complex mechanisms of climate change with cards representing various aspects of this phenomenon. Emilie Yeung, Sustainability Officer at ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation), explained that “it was an immersive experience for all participants, enabling them to better grasp the challenges of climate change. ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) will continue its efforts to raise awareness and implement new concrete actions to reduce its carbon footprint.”
Sponsoring SAFIRE Children
In celebration of World Children’s Day and in line with our inclusive development strategy, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) proudly sponsored four children from SAFIRE—an NGO dedicated to supporting vulnerable children—to participate in the Moka Decathlon Night Run, held at Telfair, Moka, on November 23, 2024.
This initiative aimed to inspire young people to adopt regular sports activities as part of a healthy lifestyle. The sponsorship covered the children’s entry fees and provided them with all the necessary equipment to ensure their full participation in the race. By empowering these children to engage in such activities, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering opportunities for personal growth and well-being within our community.
Christmas Fun Day: Spreading Joy and Hope
In collaboration with ER Hospitality (Formerly Rogers Hospitality), Moka’z, and FoodWise, ER Aviation (Formerly Rogers Aviation) organised a heartwarming Christmas Fun Day at Gender Links Safe Haven Halfway Home. The celebration was filled with festive activities such as setting up and decorating a Christmas tree, DIY crafts, face painting, and a special visit from Santa Claus, who delighted the children with thoughtful gifts. Adding to the festive spirit, MOKA’Z generously provided a delicious hot meal that brought warmth and joy to the celebrations.
