ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Travel Agency Manager based in Maputo to oversee our travel agency operations across Beira, Tete, Nampula, and Pemba with a strong focus on sales growth, profitability, customer relationships and the expansion of the BlueSky network across Mozambique.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Manage the operational and financial performance of the Travel Agency Business Unit, including staffing, budgets, and financial targets
- Develop and improve systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain an error-free environment, including ADM management
- Analyze business processes, identify operational challenges, and implement solutions to improve network efficiency
- Drive sales growth, increase distribution volume and promote cross-selling across all BlueSky POS(points of sales)
- Supervise staff in line with company policies and best practices
- Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and employee development initiatives
- Manage staff scheduling, rotations, training, leave, overtime, and operational coverage
- Ensure profitability and operational excellence across all BS POS
- Perform any other duties related to the position as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES NEEDED
- IATA Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the travel and tourism industry
- Proven experience in operations management, sales growth, and team leadership
- Strong command of the English language
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, adaptability and flexibility
- Attention to detail
