Key Travel Consultant (Kenya Airways)

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Key Travel Consultant within Kenya Airways to drive sales, deliver excellent service to key clients, ensure smooth Reservation & Ticketing operations, support team performance and uphold airline standards to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Drive sales targets and ensure excellent service to key clients
  • Supervise Reservation & Ticketing operations and ensure service standards are met
  • Handle customer requests (reservations, ticketing, refunds, quotations) efficiently
  • Support and guide Travel Consultants in resolving operational issues
  • Monitor staff rosters, discipline and overall team performance
  • Ensure compliance with airline policies and procedures
  • Liaise with airline head office for issue resolution
  • Review team quotations and maintain quality control
  • Prepare sales and ticketing reports for management
  • Provide on-the-job training and support team development
  • Assist and handle Travel Consultants queries as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES NEEDED

  • Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in airline reservations and ticketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre).
  • Strong knowledge of airline fares, ticketing, and industry practices.
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
